Research & Development

Each of our products is meticulously crafted and tailored by our dedicated product development team in collaboration with a highly experienced cosmetics chemist boasting 20 years of expertise.

Our commitment to using clinically validated ingredients enables us to formulate products specifically designed for acne-prone and problematic skin, guaranteeing their effectiveness, potency, and safety. This dedication ensures that you receive the most efficacious skincare solutions available, delivering enduring results.

We judiciously incorporate transformative ingredients in our formulations, utilizing concentrations ranging from 1% to 10% or even higher. These active components, including AHA's, BHA, Hyaluronic Acid, Sulfur, Zinc, Niacinamide, Vitamin C, Amino Acids, Enzymes, Ceramides, and Squalane, have been proven to be highly effective in addressing acne-related concerns.

Rather than relying on plain water as a base, we utilize skin-loving ingredients such as Aloe Vera juice and Witch Hazel Water, ensuring that our products go beyond the ordinary to offer exceptional results. We staunchly avoid unnecessary and potentially inflammatory substances and ingredients like artificial fragrances, colorants, microplastics, and aggressive preservatives.

Maintaining a healthy pH balance is a cornerstone of our product development process, guaranteeing the optimal outcome for your skin.

All our products undergo rigorous dermatological testing, adhering to the highest standards globally, specifically the rigorous EU standards, to ensure they are non-irritating and meet the most stringent quality benchmarks in the industry.

Gut-brain-skin axis

Inner Nourishment – Mental Wellbeing – Outer Care

We are aware that true beauty and well-being are based not only on the care of the external, but also the internal and spiritual aspects of our body. The gut-brain-skin axis and its connection to acne is a concept close to our hearts and supported by extensive research. More and more studies are linking the presence of a “gut-brain-skin axis” that connects gut health, emotions, and skin homeostasis. A growing body of research links stressful emotions to a change in the gut microbiome, which promotes inflammation in the body and skin and leads to acne. Nourished3's magical trilogy encompasses these three principles. Both Nourished3 ingredients and the techniques we share can help promote a healthy skin microbiome, restore a healthy, balanced skin microbiome, and protect the skin barrier for clear and healthy skin. We also focus on strengthening and inspiring the spiritual being through aromatherapy and mindfulness, as well as inner nourishment through healthy and rich nutrition.

Skincare pH-Value

Our skincare products are all tailored to a healthy pH-value

Our team of chemists developed a clinically proven, dermatologist-approved way to create formulas for acne-prone skin, ensuring the products are truly effective, potent, and safe so you receive the best effective skincare on the market with effective results in the long run. We also make sure that all of our products are tailored to a healthy pH value to ensure you the best results. Our products are formulated for people with sensitive, dull, oily and acne-prone skin.

All of our products are developed to EU standards, the highest standards in the world. We do not use substances and ingredients that are both unnecessary for the skin and may promote inflammation, including artificial fragrance, color, microplastics and aggressive preservatives.

Skin microbiome

Here is an example of an unhealthy & healthy skin microbiome

The skin’s microbiome is an ecosystem that is made up of billions of bacteria, viruses, and fungi. The skin microbiome in the follicle is composed of a diverse group of microorganisms. The primary role of the skin is to serve as a physical barrier, protecting our bodies from potential assault by foreign organisms or inflammatory substances such as acne causing bacteria. It is essentially the skin’s first line of defence against bad bacteria, viruses, and fungi that can lead to acne. On our face especially, where there are more bad bacteria than good, acne develops and this is problematic for achieving clear skin. A balanced skin microbiome is vital for healthy, clear, acne free skin.

The function of AHA & BHA in our mask and cleanser

AHA's aka alpha-hydroxy-acids

Our Mask & Cleanser include both AHAs (Glycolic, Citric, Mandelic and Azelaic acid) that help to treat and prevent recurring acne. Acne pimples occur when your pores are clogged with a combination of dead skin cells, oil (sebum), and especially bacteria. Exfoliating with AHAs can help loosen and remove the clog and remove acne causing bacteria. Continued use may also prevent future clogs from forming. AHAs may also reduce the size of enlarged pores, which are commonly seen in acne-prone skin. Skin cell turnover from exfoliating glycolic and lactic acids can even reduce acne scars. Citric and mandelic acids, help to soothe inflamed skin.

BHA aka beta-hydroxy-acid

Our Mask & Cleanser include both a BHA-Salicylic acid that finds application in treating almost all aspects of the skin. Additionally, BHA can target all the links in the acne-causing chain of cause and effect, making it one of the best ingredients for acne prevention. BHA treatments are typically used for clogged pores, blackheads, whiteheads, acne, cysts. BHA treats acne by working deep within the pore by reducing swelling, redness and releasing blocked pores to allow breakouts to diminish.
